You'll probably find Jerry on the bridge of Fathoms O' Fun but he's been known to drive Fishfood as well. Jerry has has a pretty colorful past. He worked in radio for many years, graduated from college with a masters degree in Counseling and Education. He has worked as a high school counselor and taught scuba classes. Born and raised in Colorado and later spent his college days in Oregon. "My philosophy is that the customer becomes a member of our extended family when they step on the boat." Jerry is a knowledgeable captain, divemaster and instructor with nearly 20 years in the diving industry. He knows his way around the water and you can rest assured that you'll have a great time with him.

Kelly has been diving since 1991. She received her certification in the frigid waters off the Oregon Coast. In September of 2001 she traded the iron man diving in 50 degree waters to come to Fort Lauderdale and work in the warm water of the Atlantic. C'mon you would do the same. She is a NAUI instructor. She is very dependable, knowledgeable and a lot fun to be around. In additions to her duties on the boat, Kelly will also be found at the many trade shows Parrot Island Scuba Adventures participates in such as Oceanfest and DEMA. She also represents our company as a member of Greater Fort Lauderdale Dive Association and the Broward County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Mike has a couple of names he goes by on the boat. There's of course "Mike" and "Mikey" but mostly and most appropriately "Chicken Man." So named for his skinny legs, Mike is a very conscientious divemaster and a wealth of knowledge. He is always in a good mood. You'll see Mike on Fathoms O' Fun and sometimes Fishfood. He will generally sing along with Jerry to the music on the boat and in a weak moment he'll dance when he thinks nobody's watching. Mikey is always interested in meeting new people. He hails from Texas and has been working and diving in South Florida for 9 years. He has recently completed his captains license and is the primary captain of Fishfood.

John comes to Parrot Island as a native Floridian. Growing up with a father in the boating industry, he is no stranger to the open water. Becoming certified in 1999, he has worked his way up to be a Naui Divemaster. In 2006, he also received his 50ton Master Captains License. You will see John working on both boats as a divemaster and occasionally the captain of either boat.

Bob was born in Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In addition to his duties at Parrot Island, you can also find Bob teaching World History at South Plantation High School or laying down the law as a referee at high school sporting events. You never really know where you might find Kim when you come aboard. She goes wherever she is needed. Fathoms or Fishfood are her two boats. She was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Central Florida. Kim is also responsible for shaping the minds of the 2nd grade students at Liberty Elementary. God help them! Kim is a great divemaster, excellent instructor and a very friendly and knowledgeable diver. As a spear fisherman, well.... you'll have to ask her husband who gets all of the fish! She also carries several dive accolades, SSI Advanced Open water Instructor, SSI Specialty Instructor, PADI Divemaster, TDI Advanced TriMix /Ext.Range/Advanced Nitrox/Staged Decompression Diver, NSS/CDS Cave Certified.

Bryce runs Fathoms O Fun. He will greet you on the boat, Drive the boat, serve snacks and act as our diver watch. At 7 years old, he has his sea legs and amazes all of our customers with his vocabulary and his fearless nature. If you have been on the boat before then you probably have run into Bryce. If not then you will. He'll know your name by the end of the trip and you'll want to take him home with you. Mom and Dad just might let you.

Remember the cruise director from the Love Boat? Doesn't she look like her? Jordan helps us on the deck before we get underway by making sure all of the refreshments make it on the boat before departure. She'll also make sure everyone is signed in. She is generally quiet and it will take a couple of trips before she'll open up. She is a very sweet and shy girl with a love of the water. She'll even join the snorkelers in the water and she can't hardly wait to learn to dive herself....this summer.

You will most likely find Grady helping out during peak season. Spring Break, summer and holidays. His duties are running tanks back and forth to the dive shop. He also tends to help out wherever he is needed. Grady loves the ocean, either being in the water diving or fishing on it. He like his Mom learned to dive in the frigid waters of the Pacific Northwest in 2002. He is a certified Advanced Open Water Diver and will soon be working for his Rescue certification.
